A Bit About Beards

Everywhere you go, beards, beards, beards. They’re not just for hipsters… If you have one, it’s time to take care of it. First, get it trimmed. No one can do it better than a Barber. But if you must — please do it right.

I see shitty trim jobs everyday. Most of the problem starts at where you line your beard. Never, I repeat, never end your beard right at your chin. The only person with enough money to get away with that is George Lucas, the rest no. Your line should end around two finger widths above your adam’s apple. As for the cheek, go from where your earlobe meets your head and visually draw a line to your lip corner where the upper meets the lower. Quick tip — take an eyeliner pencil and actually draw a line to help  you for your first couple of times. Shave to the line and bam — you have a clean line.

Wash your beard at least twice a week with natural conditioner. Use beard oil or balm to keep the skin underneath hydrated. Beard balm is especially good for grooming your beard.

This is just a quick bit about beards. Look for more knowledge in the future posts.
